Ron serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Valeo & Co. in Toronto, and brings an impressive track record of over 25 years in strategy consulting and alternative investments.
A recognized expert in corporate transformation, he has contributed significantly to projects for Fortune 500 companies throughout LATAM, Europe, and North America. His expertise spans profound financial and strategic revamps in the retail sector and growth strategies in the banking, healthcare, and energy industries.
In previous executive roles, he worked at renowned firms like MF Global, Accenture Strategy, EY, Capgemini, and has held prominent positions as a derivatives trader in various trading institutions.
He holds an MBA from HEC Montreal, and a BA in Economics & Statistics from Western University.
Alex leads the Web3 & blockchain division at Valeo & Co., from Montreal. Holding the distinction of a Chartered Financial Analyst coupled with expertise in derivative trading, he boasts over two decades in the fields of algorithmic trading, designing high-frequency systems, and mastering crypto asset management.
In leadership roles, Alex served large trading institutions such as TMX and Title Trading and has overseen trading operations at several niche trading establishments.
He is a CFA charter holder and earned his BComm in Finance and Financial Management from Concordia University.
He is fluent in English, Greek, French and German.
